Kennedy-White Orthopaedic Center Center has an established Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation Dept located on our main campus. Our well experienced team of therapists offer a collaborative effort with our physicians to achieve your personalized functional rehab goals. It is our mission to assist our patients to reach their optimal functional ability by reducing pain, improving strength and increasing mobility.
Education is a large component integrated into your therapy sessions. It is our goal to help you continue to maintain your achieved optimal level of function even beyond your course of rehabilitation.
So, whether you suffer from debilitating pain, muscle and/or joint disorders, or recovering from a surgery, our therapists are here to help you through it all one on one.

Meet Our Physical Therapy Staff
Susan Duttweiler PT, CEAS, CFCE, CWT CHC
Director of Physical Therapy KWOC
Susan graduated 1982 from Darnen College, Amherst, NY with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She is a well seasoned PT specializing in orthopedic, sports medicine and workers compensation. She also is a certified Functional Capacity Evaluator, Ergonomics Specialist, Weight trainer and Health Coach. Happily, Susan moved to Florida 4 yrs ago from Chicago/NW Indiana region. Her career goals are and always have been to assist her patients to achieve their rehab goals returning them to the quality of life that they are accustomed and/or better. Susan's future goals are to incorporate a more holistic approach to rehab, health and wellness of the patient.
Charlyn R. Allen PT, CLT-LANA
Staff Physical Therapist
Charlyn is originally from New Jersey and graduated in 1994 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- School of Health Related Professions (UMDNJ-SHRP). She transitioned to Sarasota and started her Florida career at Sarasota Memorial. As a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, she has experience with primary and secondary lymphedema. Within the Orthopedic arena, she is committed to providing excellent care and facilitating patients through their rehab in an effort to maximize their functional outcomes with consideration of their personal goals.
David Patton, PTA
David graduated in 1991 from Colby College in Kansas with an associates of science degree in physical therapy. He has worked more than 10 years at KWOC. He has extensive experience in outpatient orthopedics with special interest in knee as well as foot/ankle rehab. David's quick wit and sense of humor is important in helping his clients to feel more at ease.
Leah Kain , BSc, BScPT
Staff Physical Therapist KWOC
Born and raised in Manitoba, Canada. Graduated 1988 from Western University in London, Ontario. Interim Director of small community hospital PT department and 2 years in Hand & Upper Limb center prior to moving to Sarasota in 1993. I have been working with KWOC since 2005. The majority of PT practice has been in Outpatient Orthopaedics with focus on exercise & manual therapy. As an avid sports fan & participant, I take pride in assisting my patients to regain maximum function for an active lifestyle.
Lorraine Woods, PTA
Lorraine Woods graduated from Keiser University in Sarasota, Florida and became a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in 2013. She has been with Kennedy White Orthopaedic Center since May of that year. Lorraine fell in love with the orthopaedic outpatient setting during the clinical portion of her time at Keiser. She especially loves working with Total Knee and Total Hip Replacements. Apart from her interest in orthopaedic rehabilitation she also loves the opportunity her career brings her to establish meaningful relationships with her patients during their recovery and rehabilitation at KWOC.
Lori Frailing: OTR/L, CHT
Staff Occupational Therapist with a specialization certification in hands
Graduated in 1995 with honors and my BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Milwaukee Wisconsin. After graduation I started working in the Mayo Healthcare system at the Fransiscan Skemp campus found in Lacrosse Wisconsin. I then followed my heart back to Sarasota Memorial Hospital where I then was recruited by Dr. David Klein to build the Occupational Therapy Hand program at the Kennedy White Orthopaedic Center that you now know today. I have practiced with the company now for 15 years. This now marks my 22nd year in practice.
Matthew Campbell, PTA
Matthew's professional background in the health and fitness industry started in 1997 as an ACE certified personal trainer. He is a NASE level II certified Speed Specialist. He completed the PTA program at Keiser University in 2015. He started his employment with K WOC in the physical therapy department as a licensed PT A in January, 2016. Matthew is currently completing course work through The National Academy of Sports Medicine to be recognized as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (anticipated date of certification, November, 2017). Matthew is pursuing his graduate studies in Exercise Science & Health Promotion at California University PA. His anticipated date of graduation is May, 2018.
Stephanie Kisielewski B.S. P.T
Stephanie graduated in 1983 from St. Louis University with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. She started her career in Racine , Wisconsin working in an outpatient orthopaedic clinic. She was there until 1988 when she found the good life in Sarasota, Florida. She was owner/partner at Physical Therapy of Sarasota until 2007 when she joined Kennedy White Orthopaedics. She enjoys kayaking, flyfishing and any outdoor activities.
