Dr. Charles Rush is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has been in private practice since 1985. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Rush is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Orthopaedic Society, and the Sarasota County Medical Society. He served as Chief of Surgery at Doctors Hospital in 1990 and Chief of Staff at Doctors Hospital in 1991 and 1992. Dr. Rush was the HCA Doctors Hospital Physician of the Year in 2005 and is a member of the Board of Trustees HCA Doctors Hospital.
Dr. Rush specializes in joint replacement surgery, sports medicine, and arthroscopic surgery. He is one of the physicians at Kennedy-White Orthopaedic Center who performs minimally invasive knee surgery.
Dr. Rush was born in Dothan, Alabama and is married with 3 children. He is active in the community as a high school team physician and as a coach for youth basketball.
